Born in Toronto, Canada, and raised between Brazil, Canada and the United States, Lucca Lyra entered karting at late 17 – years later than most drivers pursuing professional motorsport.

Rather than treating the late start as a limitation, his program was built around accelerated development: high-volume testing, data analysis, professional coaching and constant competition.
